Andean Soundscapes w/ Fred Clarke Alvarez

This Andean Soundscapes journey will be a way to give thanks to the great mother, Pachamama. An offering to remember the indigenous spirit within us in these profound times of transformation we are all going through as humanity. We will gather at The Refuge, in the sierra foothills of California, in the amphitheatre for an outdoor experience surrounded by nature and the sky in this way of praying through andean ancient sounds.

Full Moon Community Gardening

Every Sunday nearest the full moon, we enjoy time connecting to the land and tuning into the elements. Our time together will be spent in the garden and on the land, working with the plants from seed to table to re-discover their healing and regenerative potential. Each moonth we will focus on a different element—air, water, fire, and earth—and inquire (with dirty hands and open hearts) into their relationship to the plant world and physical body. Together we will enliven our senses and connect to the pulsing intelligence of the plant world, through embodiment practices, permaculture and biodynamic principles, and intuitive inquiry.

********************************************************
This moonth’s offerings

~Plant Spirit Meditation~

This month we will be guided in a plant meditation to connect with the emotional and herbal properties of our California Native Poppy. Together we will discern the qualities of this plant as they come to us in a state of intuitive perception. Time for reflection and sharing will take place during the hotter part of the day, before our gardening offering.

~Three Sisters Garden Tending~

The Three Sisters Garden is a companion planting that has been practiced by indigenous land stewards for thousands of years. We will be clearing part of the garden to expand the corn, bean, and squash companion planting, and learn a bit about the co-evolution between humans and our seed relatives.

~Community Potluck~

Together we will rejoice in the abundance of the land and share a meal, share stories, and strengthen the web of our community. We welcome all who need nourishment—of the body, mind, and spirit—you are welcome at our table.
Please bring a dish to share if you are able!

For our time in the garden, please bring a reusable water bottle, a hat, and comfortable gardening clothes, and any foot or hand protection you desire. Shoes are optional unless otherwise noted!

**************************************************************

Facilitated by Liyanna Bea Sadowsky--student of plants, steward of seeds, artist, herbalist, improvisationalist, and curious child of the patterns and intuitions of life. She has been in and of gardens for her 25 years of life, learning from the cycles of the seasons and from many human and more-than-human mentors and friends along the way. Her vision is of a world in which all people live in relationship of gratitude and reciprocity with the land, waters, plants, and animals that sustain us, and in which the inherent abundance of life is freed to express itself. She is deeply grateful to all those who have given their love and energy to The Refuge to make this beautiful community dream possible and looks forward to working together to grow this garden with you!

Women's Council

Women's Council_Header_No Text.jpg

For centuries women have gathered together to learn, heal, celebrate, grieve and dream, yet our modern society leaves little time for listening to our deep calling to commune with one another. The longing to connect with our sisters, recalibrate and be in our full expression lies within each of our hearts and Women's Council offers a place to do just that. We invite you to join this circle, to come and melt into yourself in the sanctity of shared sisterhood.

In order to provide a safe container for this gathering, we implement four key guidelines:
Speak from the Heart. Be authentic, vulnerable and real
Listen from the Heart. Be attentive and practice active listening
Be Spontaneous. Allow what is true in the moment to arise
Honor Confidentiality. What is shared in Women’s Council is kept safe and sacred

*Our circle is open to all who identify as women; including all ages, nationalities, and religious preferences

Suggested donation $10-20

Please arrive early to get your tea and settle into your seats :)
Doors open at 9:30
Looking forward to communing with you!!

Women’s Council is lead by Oni. Please contact her for more information (209) 770-4563 | loveamplifiedjtown@gmail.com
